What is EJN ?
EJNってどんな団体？
EJN is a Student Organization, aiming to spread the awareness of disasters in Japan through English.
Based on the principles of the Japan Disaster Prevention Association, the basic principle of the activities of association is to contribute to the realization of a cooperative society for disaster prevention by striving to improve disaster preparedness.
EJNは近い将来来るであろう地震に備え防災啓発活動を日本在住の外国人の方々へ英語で行う団体です。
日本防災士会の理念に基づき、防災力の向上に努め、防災協働社会の実現に寄与することを活動の理念とします。

My name is Taiyo Luke Mitsuoka. Currently, I belong to the "Forest of Life with a View of the Sea" Student Committee in Minamisanriku Town, Miyagi Prefecture, and work hard as a volunteer for disaster mitigation tradition activities.
I obtained a qualification as a disaster prevention officer in May this year.
It was three years ago that I first participated in the disaster mitigation tradition volunteers of the Great East Japan Earthquake. After seeing the fishing port that had not been reconstructed yet, I returned to Tokyo with a feeling of heartbreak. It started after I returned from the local people, and I was told the importance of handing down the earthquake disaster, and decided to carry out disaster prevention enlightenment activities to the global community, which is still few in number.
アメリカ出身の父と日本人の母のもと家庭内で英語、日本語の環境で育つ。
中学３年生の時単身アメリカへ渡り寮制の高校へ、都内のインターナショナルスクールへ転校。
現在は宮城県南三陸町「海の見える命の森」学生委員会に所属し、減災伝承活動のボランテイアに励む。
今年５月に防災士の資格を取得。
初めて東日本大震災の減災伝承ボランテイアに参加したのは３年前。
未だに復興されていない漁港を見て、胸塞がる思いで東京に戻りました。
現地の方から戻ってからが始まり、震災を伝承して行くことの大切さを伝えられ、まだ数が少ないグローバルコミュニティーへ防災啓発活動をする事をと決心しました。

IN THE EARTHQUAKE POWER-HOUSE JAPAN, PROPER DISASTER PREVENTION EDUCATION IS CRITICAL IN ACQUIRING PRECISE KNOWLEDGE TO TAKE THE RIGHT ACTIONS
防災教育を英語でレクチャー致します。また防災教育教材の無償提供を行っており、皆様のコミュニティーへの貢献を応援いたします。その他、EJNでは防災士の免許取得を支援しています。
資格取得に関しましてお問い合わせ下さい。
We provide lecture on disaster prevention education in English. We also provide disaster prevention education materials free of charge to support your contribution to the community. Also, EJN will support the acquisition of a disaster prevention license.
